It's a big day for those in Estero, Florida. As of December 31, 2014, it will become The Villages of Estero, making it the ninth municipality in southwest Florida and the fifth in Lee County. They have a population of 25,112 that increases to about 37,000+ due to seasonal vacationers, which means there's always plenty of real estate for sale in the Villages of Estero. The area is going to be split in 7 different districts.

In charge of building the budget will be a seven member council with a Village Manager holding the primary leadership role. There will also be a Village Attorney and a Village Clerk. A Mayor and a Vice Mayor will be elected from their membership. While the mayor earns $9,000, each council member earns $6,000.
